Mari co-hosts The CrimeLine, a weekly web show on Spreecast with Jon Leiberman, a former America’s Most Wanted correspondent and crime expert. The 30-minute interactive webcast features true-crime stories, interviews with crime victims and discussions of headlining crime cases.
She also works as a Legal News correspondent for WWRL 1600 AM radio in New York, contributing to Your Legal Rights radio show each Tuesday night.
Mari is a regular contributor to The Huffington Post, Yahoo, Salon, BuzzFeed, BlogHer and Galtime. Her legal analysis has also been featured on CNN, Geraldo Rivera, CBS News radio, HLN online and BBC Radio.
Previously, Mari was an on-air reporter for NY1 News, Time Warner Cable’s 24-hour local news channel in New York City, where she shot, wrote and edited her own stories daily. She covered everything from Hurricane Irene to the resignation of Congressman Anthony Weiner to the 2010 gubernatorial race.
She also served as a host on AfterBuzzTV: The Aftershow Network, covering the Emmys, Oscars and other entertainment news. She has worked as an on-air reporter for the NBC affiliate in Topeka, Kansas and interned with NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams, FOX News Chicago and the Cook County Public Defenders Office.
Mari attended Northwestern University, where she received both a masters and bachelors from the Medill School of Journalism. She is currently attending UCLA Law School in her hometown of Los Angeles.
